This Morning's Phillip Schofield shares behind-the-scenes pictures from set of The Cube reboot

This Morning's Phillip Schofield is on set for his new TV project... which is actually the return of an old favourite!

The Cube hasn't been on screens since 2015, but ITV is bringing it back in a new team game format, with the prize money increased to £1 million, just to make the high-pressure gameshow even more high-pressure.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, the host shared two photos of the infamous Perspex box, and it looks as daunting as ever.

"Well hello my cuboid friend, I've missed you," he wrote, adding: "This is going to be a fun week. The Cube returns. On telly soon."

There are going to be five regular episodes of this new format, as well as a celebrity special which will see famous faces compete for a possible £250,000 for charity.

Let's just hope that Colin McFarlane is back to lend his instantly recognisable voice to The Cube, because the show just would not be the same without him.

The tabloids recently linked Phillip to this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing, but a spokesperson for the presenter denied that he was in talks with the BBC.

Phillip and Holly Willoughby are currently on their traditional summer break from This Morning, with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford stepping in for most of the week, with guest presenters hosting on the Friday editions.

This year will also see Phillip, who publicly came out as gay in March, release his autobiography, which he claims will be "deeply emotional" and something he's had in his head since his teens.
