Morrisons shoppers have been told to 'hurry' after the supermarket chain cut the price of its tins of chocolates ahead of Christmas.

Stores are currently selling two 550g tins of Roses, Heroes, Quality Street and Celebrations for £7 with a Morrisons More Card - or £3.50 each.

Announcing the deal on the Morrisons Facebook page, the retailer said: "Stock up on Christmas choccies. Get 2 tubs for £7 when you scan your More Card. Get 5 More Points for every product you buy."

The news has gone down well with shoppers - however some offered advice to others telling them to be quick if they want to grab a tin.

Replying on the Facebook post Steve Ramsey said: "You'd better hurry though, they only have four boxes left. But if there are none left when you get there you can still do a weeks shopping while you're there without discounts though of course."

And Lyn Law added: "Bargain , bet someone moans about something though."

Others, however, hit out at the offer not being available for online order. Shelley Jackson said: "This offer is not on for online delivery orders…. Why Morrisons ??" while Jan Churms added: "Not on line?? I can't shop in store so no cheap offers???"

You can sign up to a Morrisons More Card by downloading it from the App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android.

Meanwhile, if you're a fan of Quality Street then you might want to head to Costco this Christmas.

The wholesaler is selling a giant tin of the Nestle family favourites weighing almost 2kg and containing more than 200 chocolates.

But as well as being impressed with its size, shoppers are also getting excited about the price of it.

The 1.93kg tin comes in at £17.98 including VAT, which works out at around 90p per 100g.
