Moscow Women Call for Release of 'Political Prisoners' in Valentine's Day Protest

Hundreds of women formed a human chain in Moscow on February 14 calling for the release of what they called “political prisoners” held in the wake of a crackdown on protests in support of Alexei Navalny.

Navalny was sentenced on February 2 to more than three years in prison on a charge of violating his probation while recuperating in Germany following his poisoning, TASS reported.
