Mosley Sues Google Over Sex Party Video

Former Formula 1 boss Max Mosley is suing Google, claiming it is breaking German privacy laws by providing links to websites hosting a video of him at a sadomasochistic orgy.

Mr Mosley's German case is part of legal action he is taking against the search engine in 22 countries.

He was not present when his case opened at the Hamburg state court on Friday. It is not clear when a ruling will be made.

In 2008, the 72-year-old sued the now-defunct News Of The World for £60,000 after the newspaper published pictures of him under the headline: 'Formula One boss has sick Nazi orgy with five hookers'.

Mr Mosley has acknowledged the orgy, but says the story was an "outrageous" invasion of privacy and the Nazi allegation was damaging and "completely untrue".

When he appeared at the Leveson Inquiry into press ethics last November, he discussed his battle to remove from the internet false and libellous claims about the story.
