Is This The Most ‘Confused’ Cat Around?

A cat was left looking permanently perplexed, as her neck is stuck at a 45-degree angle.

Tilly now seems constantly confused, as if she doesn’t quite understand what’s going on.

The cute six-month-old is gorgeous, with her fluffy appearance and piercing blue eyes.

Sadly, her irregularity belies a sinister incident. Vets at the RSPCA New South Wales centre, believe she was viciously attacked.

After extensive tests and antibiotics to cure a possible infection, Tilly’s head remains in that position.

Tilly was taken to the shelter as a stray kitten. As her neck had been left untreated for some time, the shelter can’t perform any surgery to fix it.

While she waits to be adopted, she is being cared for by RSPCA worker, Hannah Burfitt, at her home.

Hannah, 29, said: “When she was brought in to us, she was in a really bad way. It was clear she had suffered serious head trauma.

"She had no microchip so we couldn’t trace her owners to find out what happened.

"She had no balance and couldn’t really stand up or walk properly. She had no control of her pupils and had dried blood coming from one ear.

"Due to her symptoms - also looking like those of a brain infection - such as toxoplasmosis, we put her on a course of antibiotics. Still the head tilt remained.”

Vets have since ruled out a brain infection. They believe it is likely she suffered trauma to the inner ear, resulting in infection, which was significant enough to cause permanent damage.

Hannah added: “Tilly has adapted remarkably well to her head tilt. The only thing it stops her doing is going outside. We have to keep her indoors, as she is more vulnerable to attacks.

"She is a typical cheeky playful kitten. I have two other cats and she has it over them completely, regularly rumbling with them and winning.”

We are very pleased that the adorable kitty is now feline fine!
