Most expensive areas to buy a house in Cornwall include Frogpool
The priciest places to buy a house in Cornwall include some locations that might surprise you - like St Germans and Frogpool. House price data from March 2023 to 2024 shows they are among the ten locations where properties cost more on average based on sold prices.
Using house price data from the Office for National Statistics, Online Marketing Surgery and Cardinal Steels have ranked all neighbourhoods in Britain based on their median house price. The 'Property Report' found that Trebetherick & Whitecross were the most expensive place in Cornwall for the year based on this.
Some surprising areas to make the list include Shortlanesend, Chacewater and Carnon Downs. There are also some expected areas like St Ives and Padstow. The median price for each area ranges from £379,975 to £540,000. It did not include data on how many properties were sold or the minimum and maximum property prices.

By comparison, when looking at Land Registry data, the most expensive postcodes to buy a house in Cornwall during 2023 include TR2 (Truro, Gerrans), TR11 (Falmouth, Flushing, Mylor Bridge, Constantine, Mawnan Smith) and TR5 (St Agnes).
