Mother And Daughter Found Dead In Esher

The bodies of a mother and her daughter have been found at their home in Esher, Surrey, police say.

While the bodies have not yet been formally identified, police say they believe them to be Lisa Anthony, 47, and her 14-year-old daughter Ava Anthony.

Their bodies were found on Monday morning at the house on Simmons Gate, a gated community where houses are worth up to £2m, after neighbours raised concerns.

The discovery comes just a day after a man believed to be the girl's father was found dead in southern France.

The man has not been named but Surrey police say they are working with the French Gendarmerie on the investigation.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Mark Preston said: "This is a tragic incident where lives have been lost and our thoughts are with their family and friends at this time.

"We are in the very early stages of the investigation but we do not believe there to be any threat to the wider community and I would like to reassure the public that this is thought to be an isolated incident.

"We are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths."
