Nothing lifts the spirits like a beautiful bunch of your favourite flowers.

Whether you’re looking to brighten up your home ahead of the bank holiday weekend, or send something special to a loved one, we’ve put together a list of some of London’s best independent florists who deliver straight to your door.

Sage Flowers

This super cool, independent florist is a favourite among the south London cool kids. Sage’s eye-catching pink lily bouquets kick-started a trend over lockdown and have been immortalised as flower “inspo” across Instagram. Founders Romy St Clair and Iona Mathieson’s are advocates for young female entrepreneurship, and committed to “diversifying and decolonising” floristry. The Peckham locals have an A-list following, having previously worked with both Stormzy and Rihanna.

Like the sound of (alcohol-free) cocktails and flowers? Until June 1, Sage has teamed up with non-alcoholic spirit brand Atopia to offer a limited edition sunset-inspired floral bouquet (£60) which comes with a free bottle of one of the brand’s two new flavours (Hedgerow Berry or Rhubarb & Ginger) worth £23.

Grace & Thorn

This Hackney-based flower shop was founded in 2011 by Nik Southern with the aim to ‘#greenupyourgaff’. Since then, it has amassed a cult following of east London locals, who come here to buy their house plants and colourful bouquets. No bunch of flowers at Grace & Thorn is ever the same, favouring asymmetric arrangements and unsual flower varieties, no wonder Rosamund Pike is a big fan.
