Mother left heartbroken after babies' ashes were stolen during burglary

A mother has been left heartbroken after her children’s ashes was stolen in a burglary.

The ashes of her twins, who died at birth in January, were in a box that was stolen when her home was burgled.

The maroon box, which measured 13cm by 8cm by 9cm, was taken alongside items of jewellery after the break-in at the house in Richmond, London sometime between 2pm and 5pm on Monday, December 11.

Police believe suspects suspects forced entry via a side gate and rear patio door and are appealing for any information that could help the heartbroken woman recover her children’s remains.

Detective Constable Rajinder Chana, from Kingston and Richmond CID, said: “This has been a heartbreaking ordeal for the victim, who desperately wants her children’s ashes returned.”
