Motorbike rider killed in Hampton crash as police search for witnesses

A motorbike rider died on London's border with Surrey last Saturday (June 8) after a crash with a car. The 35-year-old motorcyclist sadly died at the scene despite the efforts of emergency services.

Officers from Surrey Police were called to the scene of the crash on the A308 Staines Road East in Hampton at about 11pm, just yards inside Surrey on the border with London. The crash involved a black Porsche Cayenne and a white Yamaha Fazer 8 motorcycle.

The rider's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist police officers. The road was closed for a few hours while investigation work took place.
