A motorcyclist has been left fighting for life after being hit by a lorry in Wimbledon.

Police were called to the collision on Weir Road around 12.25pm on Wednesday.

The motorcyclist, a man aged 48, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. His next of kin are aware, said police.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.

No arrests have been made.
