Motorcyclist who died following Flintshire crash is named
An inquest has been opened into the death of a motorcyclist killed in a collision on the Mold – Denbigh road. Simon Paul Williams, 33, was travelling on the A541 on September 10 when he was involved in a collision with a car near the junction with the B5123 at Rhydymwyn.
Mr Williams, a mobile plant operator, of Fourth Avenue, Flint, was airlifted to Aintree Hospital, but died two days later. At a brief hearing in Ruthin John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, said that no post-mortem examination was necessary as doctors in the hospital had given the cause of death as a traumatic brain injury.
North Wales Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision which is being investigated by the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit. The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
