Motorcyclist dies after A4 lorry crash

A man has died after a crash between a lorry and a motorcycle on the A4 in Bristol. The road was closed between the Hicks Gate and Broadmead roundabouts just after 8.30am today (Monday, November 25).

Emergency services rushed to the scene and paramedics provided emergency care to the motorcyclist, a 33-year-old man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Avon and Somerset Police said: "Our thoughts are with his family and they are being supported by a specially trained officer."

The road was closed through the day while an investigation was carried out, but has since reopened, the force confirmed in a statement. Now, officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.]
