Motorcyclist dies in M25 Dartford Crossing crash that closed road for 9 hours

A motorcyclist has died following a serious crash near the Dartford Crossing. All emergency services including an air ambulance rushed to the A282 yesterday (October 30) after a single motorbike was in a collision.

Kent Police attended at 2.32pm, where they found the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, dead at the scene. Officers are supporting his family.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Witnesses are sought following a fatal collision near Dartford. Kent Police was called at 2.32pm on Wednesday following a serious collision involving a single motorcycle on the clockwise carriageway of the A282.

"Officers attended along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was pronounced deceased at the scene."

The force said the victim's next of kin had been made aware. The crash led to the closure of the road until 11.45pm - around nine hours after the collision happened.
