A motorcyclist got hit at 50 mph by a flying mattress and somehow survived

An Australian motorcyclist escaped serious injuries after his motorcycle was hit by a flying mattress at 50 mph on March 28.

The footage released by the Queensland Police Service shows a mattress lifting off of a cage trailer.

It landed in the path of motorcyclist Aaron Wood, in the Clem 7 tunnel in Brisbane city, and caused minor cuts to Wood's hand.

People from a car behind Wood helped to move the mattress aside.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to the Queensland Police Service.
