Motorcyclist killed in horror A702 crash near Lanarkshire village is named
A motorcyclist who died in a horror crash on the A702 in South Lanarkshire has been named by police.
Emergency services raced to the collision involving an orange Triumph motorcycle near Elvanfoot at 12.20pm on Sunday, September 22.
Crews attended and the male rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has been named by police as 58-year-old Allan Robertson. Inquiries into the fatal collision are ongoing.
Those who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, particularly those with dash-cam footage, have been urged to come forward.
Constable Graeme Marshall, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Robertson as they come to terms with their loss.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing, and we are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dash-cam footage and hasn’t already spoken with police, to please get in touch.”
