Motorcyclist seriously injured after Cambridgeshire crash with car
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Cambridgeshire on Wednesday afternoon (October 30). Police were called to Water Lane in Oakington with reports of a crash involving a car and a motorbike.
The road was closed between Dry Drayton Road and Oakington High Street for nearly three hours while emergency services attended. No arrests were made.
A Cambridgeshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "We were called at about 5.10pm yesterday (30 October) to Water Lane, Oakington, following reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike. The motorcyclist was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital suffering from serious injuries and the road re-opened at about 7.50pm."

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 5.02pm yesterday with reports of a collision at the junction of Holme Close and Arcadia Gardens in Oakington. We sent East Anglian Air Ambulance, an ambulance and an ambulance officer vehicle. One man was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital by land ambulance for further care."
