Typhoon Lan has killed at least two people in Japan after high winds and intense rainfall hit the country over the weekend.

This video taken by a motorist travelling to work in the city of Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture, shows the heavy rainfall obscuring visibility on the road during the morning of Monday, October 23. The city is about 45km south of Tokyo. Hundreds of flights in the country have been cancelled, while some of Tokyo’s high speed train services were also disrupted, according to the Japan Times. The typhoon claimed the lives of two people in the southwestern prefectures of Yamaguchi and Fukuoka, the newspaper reported. In some areas, residents have been evacuated from their homes.
