Motorist suffers 'serious hand injury' after truck drove past him

A motorist was left with a 'serious hand injury' after a passing truck is thought to have hit his door. Now police are appealing for witnesses over the Congleton collision.

The incident unfolded at 12.30pm on Thursday when the motorist had parked his Ford Iveco tipper truck on West Road at the junction of Holmesville Avenue.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "While getting out of the vehicle, a red HGV passed by and caught the truck door causing a serious injury to the man’s hand."

Now the force wants to hear from any witnesses.

The spokesperson added: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any video footage, dashcam or doorbell footage capturing the incident should contact Cheshire Police."
