Motorists face delays on busy Edinburgh City bypass after collision

Motorists are facing delays this afternoon after a collision on a busy Edinburgh road.

The crash happened at around 2.15pm at Calder Junction Westbound on Saturday, May 25. Drivers have been told to expect delays and a 'take care' has been advised.

Emergency services raced to the scene which is believed to be causing around 14 minute delays. It is not yet known whether any injuries were sustained.

Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, Traffic Scotland wrote: "A720 westbound is currently experiencing delays of approx 14 minutes due to a collision. Minimal delays eastbound.

"Please take care on approach and use alternative routes."

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
