Motorists formed long lines at gas stations in Vancouver on November 19 after the British Columbia government announced fuel restrictions for residents following flooding and landslides in the province.
Non-essential vehicle drivers could only purchase 30 litres (or 7.9 gallons) of fuel per visit to the gas station until December 1, according to the government’s restrictions.
This video posted to Twitter by Ashley Salvador shows a line of cars at the entrance to an Esso station in Vancouver’s Port Moody area.
“I literally cannot get out of the gas station because there [are] so many cars in here that they’re literally blocking the way,” Salvador says in the video. Credit: Ashley Salvador via Storyful
