Mount Etna Spouts Lava as Eruptions Continue

Fountains of red lava shot into the sky in Sicily overnight on March 9-10, as Mount Etna continued to erupt.

Footage captured by Giuseppe Distefano shows lava spewing from the volcano early on Wednesday morning.

Local reports said the lava fountain flowed from the southeast crater until 4:30 am local time.
