Mourners Camp Out Overnight in London Ahead of Queen's Lying in State

As final preparations were being made for the procession to bring Queen Elizabeth’s coffin from Buckingham Palace to Westminster, those who had camped out in order to pay their respects were waking up “after a cold, wet night” in central London.

Footage by 7News reporter Amelia Brace shows the scene opposite the Houses of Parliament early on September 14.

Tens of thousands of people were expected to wait in line to pay respects and walk past the coffin, with officials warning of potential wait times of over 30 hours.
