Moussa Sissoko has insisted he does not want to leave Tottenham during the summer despite struggling to make the grade at White Hart Lane.

A £30million summer signing from Newcastle, Sissoko has failed to live up to expectations since his arrival and has increasingly found himself on the peripheries of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

Sissoko has not started a Tottenham match since the FA Cup fourth round win over Wycombe on January 28 and has played just 58 minutes of football in Spurs last 10 Premier League games.

Reports in Spain have suggested that the 27-year-old may look to leave in the summer after missing out on Didier Deschamps’ France squad but Sissoko insisted he was “very happy” in north London.

In an Instagram live video he replied to several questions about his future at Spurs, saying: “I'm not leaving Tottenham at the moment.

“I'm very happy.”

Sissoko was publicly admonished by Pochettino in November after he had been left out of a trip to Chelsea, saying that Spurs’ record signing had not reached the standards expected of him. Since that match he has started just four games.
