Mrs Brown's Boys' Brendan O'Carroll has revealed he suffered a health scare after filming the sitcom's Christmas special, saying he thought he was a "goner".

According to The Mirror, the comedian was rushed to hospital after a day's filming in Glasgow as Brendan feared he was having a heart attack.

"I thought I was having a heart attack. I had this bug and at about 2am I had to wake [my wife] Jenny up," he said.

Recalling his journey to the hospital, Brendan continued: "It was all going on. I had the fright of my life and I thought I was a goner.
