A wine bar in Wirral has temporarily closed. BoBo on Banks Road in West Kirby has removed the menus from its windows and guest bookings for the site appear to have been disabled.

References to the West Kirby venue also appear to have been removed from its Instagram bio. TripAdvisor and Google lists the venue as "permanently closed."

However, a notice in the window of the wine bar states that the shop is closed temporarily. The notice reads: "Everyone deserves a summer holiday and well-earned rest in the sunshine! We will be back recharged and ready to rock West Kirby soon." The Liverpool ECHO has contacted the BoBo team for comment.

BoBo's initial Castle Street venue remains popular with city centre customers still visiting the site as normal. BoBo opened in Wirral on August 17, 2023, while the company's first city centre site launched in 2020 by owners Steven Burgess and Josh Moore.

Steven previously told the ECHO: "With BoBo in Liverpool we wanted to stand out from the crowd and be different and that’s what we are aiming for in West Kirby. BoBo in Liverpool has won a reputation for being fun and laid back but with a premium on the experience of everyone who walks through the door and delivering great service for our guests."

BoBo is known for its extensive wine list and spins on brunch. BoBo was also named runner-up for the Best Bar in the North by Observer Food Monthly and shortlisted as the best bar in the city region at the Merseyside Independent Business awards.
