Much-loved BBC with cult following could return
A legendary children's show from the 90s, Balamory, is set to make a grand comeback with two new series greenlit. BBC chiefs announced this week that the much-loved show will be returning to our screens, exactly twenty years after its conclusion.
This news has left fans feeling nostalgic and thrilled, as producers of Balamory assure that the show will stay true to its original essence. Following this announcement, another CBeebies favourite might be making a return.
Bob Golding, who lent his voice to The Tweenies characters Milo and Max, disclosed that discussions about reviving the show have taken place amongst the cast. Speaking to The Sun, he said: "I talk about it every day. I mean, I'd love it. I think it would work probably best as an animation now, with the characters, because they're such strong characters."

He added that bringing back the live-action show would be a massive logistical task due to the size of the team, which was over 100 people. However, he believes it could work as an animated series on a smaller scale.
He expressed his desire for a petition to bring back the show, appealing to the now grown-up fans who are starting families of their own. While the cast has had discussions, they have yet to approach the bosses who own the format.
Bob further stated: "I mean, obviously amongst us, we're all saying they should do, because I believe the rights are sitting in someone's drawer at DreamWorks now."
The Tweenies also featured Justin Fletcher, Sally Preisig, Emma Weaver, Colleen Daley and Sinead Rushe, who portrayed Bella, Fizz and Jake."
Earlier this month, the show marked its 25th anniversary after airing a whopping 390 episodes.
