Much-loved Bristol restaurant still months away from reopening after forced relocation
A much-loved restaurant in Bristol has said it is still “a couple of months” away from reopening after being told it had to relocate to a new city centre site. The Mayflower, which was located at Haymarket Walk before closing due to redevelopment of the Premier Inn near the Bearpit roundabout, confirmed that work is still ongoing to get set up at the new location.
The Chinese restaurant’s relocation was announced on May 16 after operating for 20 years at the Haymarket. The final service before closing was on June 26.
The new location for the restaurant will be at 10-16 The Horsefair at the site of the former Dulay store - opposite Primark. Whilst the Mayflower aims to open in a couple of months, the current opening date is unknown.
