Muhammad said: "It was a proud moment to get the award for the Curry King, as all the hard work gets paid by the appreciation from the customers, and these awards mean a lot. Putting the amount of hours in I do is not easy, from 11 in the morning and finishing at 11 at night we sacrifice a lot to give back to our loyal customers.
"And winning for the restaurant was great as well, quality food and great service make a big difference."
Muhammad, who runs the ever-popular Indian restaurant on the Trongate, is known for his incredible charity work, which sees him regularly donate food and gifts to the homeless.
The kind-hearted restaurant manager regularly goes out of his way to offer much-needed items such as gloves, hats and sleeping bags to the homeless when he can, also spends a month in the city of Lahore working with 18-20 of his family and friends to help feed over a thousand people with free food packages and a special cookout.
