Muddy Stilettos names Cambridgeshire's 10 best places to live for 2024
It's no secret that Cambridgeshire has many stunning towns and villages for people to call home, but some are more popular than others. Lifestyle website Muddy Stilettos have narrowed down the top 10 best places to live in the county for 2024.
The site asked readers to vote for their best local town, village or city using its Top 260 Places to Live guide. Areas were highlighted for their sense of community, quality of schools, restaurants and shops, as well as overall immediate surroundings.
St Ives was voted the best place to live in the Cambridgeshire for 2024. The medieval market town was praised for its characterful riverside location and abundance of independent shops and cafes amongst other things.

The Muddy Stilettos website said: "It might not have the beaches of its more Cornish counterpart but you can still enjoy waterside living in this lovely little town in Cambridgeshire.
"The River Great Ouse runs through the historic town and is a big part of life here, and there are plenty of independent shops and a busy market. It’s an excellent place to commute into Cambridge, especially now the new stretch of A14 has opened."
Elton was voted as the second place to live in Cambridgeshire while Ely was ranked in third place. Godmanchester and Newnham, Cambridge both rounded out the top five.
Linton, which was featured on last year's list, retained its place in the top 10, coming in at number six. The Shelfords, Bourn, Whittlesford and Buckden all completed the ranking.
Voting took place between July 30 and August 15, 2024, with readers given one vote each. This took place across 29 counties with the final decision coming from readers' own personal experiences.
