Mudslides and flooding leave at least 20 dead in Venezuela

At least 20 people are dead after heavy rains triggered mudslides and flooding in Venezuela. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed and almost 55,000 people have been affected in the worst hit Andean state of Merida. Some towns have been cut off from both power and communications with main streets covered in a thick layer of mud, rocks, and debris.
