Multi-vehicle crash leaves road near Guildford closed for more than 4 hours

A country road near Guildford was closed for more than four hours after a multi-vehicle crash. Surrey Police was called to a collision involving four vehicles in Whitmoor Common on Wednesday, November 13.

One driver suffered minor injuries in the crash in Burdenshott Road and took themselves to hospital. A stretch of the road was blocked in both directions between The Jolly Farmer pub and The Hatching Tan from around 4.30pm to 9pm. Traffic site Inrix reported the road was closed for investigation work and recovery.

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: "Police responded to calls of a multi-vehicle collision on Burdenshott Road at around 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoon (November 13).

"In total, four vehicles were involved. One of the motorists had minor injuries and took themselves to hospital. A closure remained in place between The Jolly Farmer pub and The Hatching Tan until around 9pm. No arrests have been made."

Drivers also suffered delays during Wednesday afternoon following a crash on the A320 Woking Road near the Slyfield industrial estate. The road was blocked following a collision around 1pm but traffic had returned to normal by 4.20pm.
