Multinational Battalion to Assist NATO Exercises in Poland

A multinational battalion on March 25 crossed the Germany-Czech Republic border during its journey to join NATO exercises in Poland.

The battalion, comprised of American, British, Romanian and Polish forces, was heading towards a military base in Orzysz, Poland, Radio Poland reported. The troops will work with Poland’s 15th Mechanized Brigade in NATO’s military exercises in the Baltic region, according to Radio Olsztyn.

In recent months, US military have provided training for NATO troops in Estonia, Poland, Latvia and Lithuania as part of the Operation Atlantic Resolve. The operation is an ongoing efforts in face of Russian aggression following its annexation of Crimea in 2014. Credit: US Army Europe via Storyful
