Multiple Deaths Reported in Mumbai Building Collapse

Authorities in Mumbai said at least 14 people died when a four-story building collapsed in Kurla, east Mumbai, around midnight on Monday, June 27, though Indian media reported on Tuesday that the death toll had risen to 18.

Pravina Morajkar, a member of Mumbai’s governing body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), said 20 to 25 people were “likely” to be trapped under the debris, according to the Hindustan Times.
