Multiple Fatalities and Injuries Reported After Fiery Crash Shuts Down Highway in Denver

A number of people were killed and six were taken to hospital after a fiery crash involving several vehicles shut down both directions on the Interstate 70 at Denver, Colorado, on April 25, Colorado State Patrol and Lakewood Police said on Twitter.

“Our crash investigation on I-70 continues. We can now confirm multiple fatalities. 6 others taken to local hospitals. Highway remains closed and will be at least overnight,” Lakewood Police said

“I-70 EB: Road closed between Exit 266 – CO 72; Ward Rd and Exit 267 – CO 391; Kipling St. Road is closed both directions due to vehicle fire, expect long delays,” Colorado DOT said.
