No trains were going in and out of Glasgow Queen Street High Level due to an "incident".

Emergency services descended on the station just after 8.20pm on Wednesday, November 20.

The nature of the incident is unknown and it is unclear if it was related to an ongoing incident at Buchanan Bus Station.

Scotrail posted on X: "Emergency services are dealing with an incident near to Glasgow Queen Street station.

"Until the police deem it safe to run trains again, no trains will run into and out of Glasgow Queen Street High Level."

In an update, Scotrail deleted the post, and National Rail Enquiries confirmed the station had reopened at around 9pm.

Meanwhile, Subway services were also cancelled for a short period. Trains on both the inner and outer circles were halted for around 10 minutes.
