Mum, 54, 'passed drugs to son while kissing him' during prison visit

Sheriff's deputies said she hid oxycodone pills and passed them from her mouth to his while giving him a kiss

A mother passed drugs to her son while kissing him when she visited him in jail in New York state, police said.

Sheriff's deputies in Yates County said Kimberley Margeson, 54, of Penn Yan, was visiting her son last week when she hid oxycodone pills and passed them from her mouth to his while giving him a kiss.

Police have not said how the drugs were discovered.

Margeson has pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband, and has been freed on bail.

Her 30-year-old son was also charged with promoting prison contraband, and he remains in jail on an unrelated weapon possession charge.
