Mum, 23, and three-year-old son disappear from Hanley 48 hours ago and haven't been seen since

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a missing mum and her toddler son who disappeared from Hanley two days ago.

The last confirmed sighting of Katie and her three-year-old son, Oakley, was in the city centre at 6pm on Sunday (June 2). Exactly 48 hours on, Staffordshire Police are asking for the public's help to find Katie and Oakley who live in Stoke-on-Trent.

A photo has also been released as efforts to find the duo are stepped up. Katie was last seen wearing a light-coloured jacket, tanned trousers and white trainers.

A force spokesman said: "We need your help in finding missing 23-year-old Katie and her three-year-old son, Oakley, from Stoke-on-Trent. They were last seen together in the Hanley area of Stoke-on-Trent at about 6pm on Sunday.

"Anyone who has seen them or those who might know of their whereabouts are urged to get in touch."

Sightings should be reported to Staffordshire Police by calling 101, quoting incident 694 of June 3 or by messaging using Live Chat on the force's website.
