A pair of hardcore Pink fans have gone above and beyond in showing their love for the megastar singer.

Leanne Brennan and Kathryn Drury from Crosby are self-confessed Pink "obsessives" and have been to see the singer perform live on several occasions, including at her Anfield shows, five years ago and in June this year.

Speaking to the ECHO, mum-of-two Leanne, 35, said: "We just love her music. We love everything about her. Our husbands are threatening to divorce us over it!"

Last month, Leanne and Kathryn headed to Anfield for the Monday night Pink concert, excited to see their idol in person once again. Since it was a hot day, Leanne decided to wear a vest top and carry her Pink t-shirt with her.

On the spur of the moment, she threw the t-shirt on stage in the middle of Pink's performance. Kathryn, 46, said: "When Leanne threw it on stage, Pink caught the shirt, and we thought that was that."

A couple of songs later, to their great delight, the singer took the shirt and signed it, before saying to the crowd: "Make sure it gets to the right person".

There was a moment of uncertainty when Leanne and Kathryn thought someone else had pounced on the shirt, but fellow Pink fans stepped in to ensure it was returned to its rightful owner. On the t-shirt, Kathryn had written: "Can I sing 'Perfect' with you?" - and Pink had signed her name next to the message, alongside a love heart.

Kathryn, who is also a mum-of-two, said: "When Pink signed it, it was so unexpected. It was amazing. We were made up."

The two women wanted a lasting reminder of the magical moment, so decided to get matching tattoos of Pink's signature.

Last Monday, July 1, they went to their friend Mark Swan's tattoo parlour, determined to see it through. They put on some Pink tunes in the background and Mark got to work.

Kathryn said: "It was painless. It took about 15 minutes each. Leanne's is on her waist and mine's on my shoulder."

She added: "I was a bit nervous, but Mark said I was a brave little soldier."

Leanne and Kathryn say they are "so happy" with the results and will be first in line for tickets when Pink returns to the UK.
