Mum shares three ways you can save money when throwing a kid's birthday party
Throwing a kid's party is never easy. You have to come up with a theme, a venue, entertainment to keep the kids amused, food, drinks and curate the guest list.
And all that doesn't come cheap, especially with the cost of living crisis continuing to rumble on in the UK. With that in mind, one mum has shared three ways you can make a kids party more budget-friendly.
Beth Turbutt-Rogers, known as @budgetingmumofficial on Instagram, regularly shares her money-saving tips, hacks and bargains with her 509,000 followers on the site.

And one of her latest on how to create a budget kid's party went down a storm, as it racked up more than 5,400 likes from fans.
Beth shared a reel which showed her getting things ready for her son's fifth birth party. Overlaid text read: "Saving money on birthday parties. Here are three ways I've saved money on my son's birthday party."
The mum said that her son had just started school so she was "inviting the whole class" to his party as she 'didn't want anybody to feel left out.' So with a lot of kids coming to the party, Beth said she needed to be "even more savvy" when it came to the cost.
The first area Beth tackled was party bags. She ordered six party bags from The Works as they had a deal on where you get six for £5. They came with colouring pens to draw on the bag and the mum said she would just give them the bag and a slice of cake rather than a "big bag of tat".
Next, she brought a packet of 12 cupcakes that she said were "about £1 a pack". Beth said she was "hacking" the cakes by using some ready-rolled icing to give out everyone a personalised cupcake.
For the the food, Beth brought some little cardboard lunchboxes on Amazon that she said she would fill with some "snacky bits", including a little sandwich and maybe some cold pizza.
Fans were loving her tips, especially the cake one which someone called "genius", another agreed: "Love the cake cutter idea," while another person said they were "stealing it".
Some parents had their own suggestions too as one mum wrote: "For the food you could buy frozen nuggets and chips and put it in the red boxes, we did this for our nephew 1 year and the kids all sat down and ate together. Was also really cheap and kids love a nugget and chips."
Others were shocked Beth had invited the whole class, as one wrote: "THE WHOLE CLASS?!! No, we just invite 5ish kids."
