This is the moment a man spotted a 'black panther' while fishing in a local river. Chris White, 34, was on his own when he took the video yesterday (Jan 24) at 3 pm. It shows a black panther standing across a field, before turning and running away. Chris, from Turnford in Hertfordshire, who works for the Marble Group, spotted the panther in the outskirts of Hertford. He said: "I saw a couple of deers running past me, so I turned around immediately, and out of the wooded bit I saw this black panther!" According to Chris, he believes he may have seen this magnificent animal a couple of years ago, as he recalls seeing "some big eyes in the darkness" but has never been able to confirm the animal until now. Chris added: "It is quite common for people to hear rumours or stories around here, but I've never seen any photos or videos that have confirmed the sighting of a black panther. "The animal was probably about 65/70 meters away from me - it was enough distance away to see that it was not a normal cat!"
