Mum-of-three delighted to be given miniature pigs for birthday
A mum-of-three could not believe it when her family made her birthday dream come true and brought her home two miniature pigs. The mum from the Forest of Dean, who has always loved pigs, was asked by her family what she would like for her 40th birthday and was delighted when the two new additions arrived.
Pig lover Sophie Morgan, is celebrating her landmark birthday in December and her husband Leon, 45 asked what she wanted she said 'pigs' and initially hubby thought she was joking. Later when Sophie said how serious she was he agreed to finding some miniature pigs to complete the family, who live in Aylburton, Forest of Dean.
Earlier this month Sophie's dream came true, when little pigs Ada and Olive arrived from Kew Little Pigs in Amersham, Bucks, which is the UK's leading miniature pig breeder.

Sophie, who has three children with Leon, Ruben, 15, Eliza, 12 and Jasper, 7, said: "It really is a dream come true, Ada and Olive are so cute and follow us around everywhere. They are really funny and noisy and so sociable with us and our Labrador dog Bertie.
"They really are very much like dogs, and have now worked out that their best chance of getting a treat is from the kids, so follow them around all the time. Everybody loves them so much."
Once Sophie had found Kew Little Pigs, she took part in a pig keeping course, and made sure that the family had the outdoor and indoor space that they needed to care for the animals properly. Then it was time for Ada and Olive to arrive, and they are living happily alongside the family, their two Highland Cows, hand reared chickens and of course Bertie the dog.
Sophie added: "It is quite the smallholding we have here, and spending time with these animals really does make you think twice about eating meat. It makes me feel so sad that creatures as intelligent as pigs that can be trained and are as loving as Ada and Olive live lives of being reared for meat. And we are so pleased to be giving these too a safe and happy forever home."
Kew Little Pigs owner Olivia Mikhail, who worked with the couple to ensure that they were ready to accept Ada and Olive, said: "We are so pleased that Ada and Olive have found their loving forever home with the Morgan family.
"At Kew Little Pigs the ongoing welfare of all the animals we breed is absolutely key, and we are on hand to provide advice and support throughout the lives of them all.
"We can't wait to hear about all the adventures that Ada, Olive and the Morgans are going to enjoy together."
