Mum's smelly McDonald's Filet-O-Fish 'was days old and gone off'
A Huddersfield mum said she has been left disgusted after being served a "gone off" Filet-O-Fish from a Huddersfield McDonald's.
The mum-of-one made an online order from McDonald's at Gallagher Retail Park on Friday, September 13, as a treat for herself and her son.
She ordered two Filet-O-Fish meals with fries and a drink each as well as a birthday cake donut but was outraged to find that the fish was "rock solid" and "had a really strong fishy odour" when it arrived.

The mum, who asked not to be named, said: "So, basically, I have always had issues with the McDonald's at Gallagher retail park. They usually just slap the fish fillet on the bun with fillet hanging out of the bun like it’s been thrown on without any care.
"We don’t eat the burgers so my son always asks for a Fillet of Fish with no tartar sauce. On this particular occasion I ordered a delivery. As my son was about to eat it he said there’s a was a horrible smell, so I immediately grabbed the burger off him, basically it was rock solid and had a very strong fish odour. The fish looked as though it was days old."
And the disappointed customer said it's not the first time she has had trouble with the fast food retailer. She added: "I have always had issues with the McDonald's at Gallagher retail park. They usually just slap the fish fillet on the bun with fillet hanging out of the bun like it’s been thrown on without any care."
Adding: "I’m sick to death of the poor standards at this restaurant."
A spokesperson from McDonald's said: "We are very sorry to hear about this customer’s experience. Food quality is of the utmost importance to us and we place great emphasis on quality control, following rigorous standards to avoid any imperfections.
"It would appear that on this occasion the customer received a product which fell below these high standards. We understand that the customer was offered a full refund by the restaurant team, which they refused to accept, so we would encourage them to contact our Customer Services team to help find a resolution.”
