Murder arrest after man, 65, dies after block of flats incident
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 65-year-old man died following an incident at a block of flats.
Emergency personnel raced to an address on Spellow Lane in Walton, Liverpool, at around 6.10pm today following reports of a concern for safety. Merseyside Police confirmed that a 65-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he died a short time later. However they have since confirmed medics provided emergency treatment and CPR, but the man died at the scene, reports the Liverpool Echo.
A 52-year-old Toxteth man was arrested nearby on suspicion of murder and has been taken to a police station, where he will be interviewed by detectives.

An investigation is underway into the man's death which is currently being treated as unexplained. Forensic officers have now arrived at the scene on Spellow Lane which is a short distance away from Goodison Park.
Police and forensics were seen coming and going from a block of flats on the road and a cordon remains in place. House-to-house inquiries are also underway. Detectives will be checking CCTV footage from the local area as part of the investigation.
