Murder arrests after woman, 34, found dead inside house

Murder arrests were made after a woman was found dead inside a house. Merseyside Police received a call from North West Ambulance Service at around 5.50pm on Wednesday, January 29.

It followed a report a 34-year-old woman had been found dead inside a home on Rock Lane West in Rock Ferry. Police said it is believed the woman had been subjected to an assault at around midday the previous day, Tuesday, January 28, in the New Ferry area.

She was seen injured near to the Cleveland Arms pub on Bebington Road. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of what happened and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.

They added the cause of death has been withheld pending further enquiries. A 33-year-old man from Rock Ferry has been arrested on suspicion of murder and section 18 wounding with intent, a 53-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a 62-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

All three have been released on bail pending further enquiries. Detective Inspector Phil Ryan said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances of the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
