A murder investigation has been launched after a teenager was stabbed to death in Northamptonshire.

Police said officers were called at around 7pm on Wednesday to reports of a 16-year-old boy being stabbed.

The force said despite the best efforts of paramedics, the victim died at the scene on Constable Road in Corby.

Police have said their inquiries are now progressing at pace.

The force has appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch with them by calling 101 and quoting incident number 399.
