Murder Probe After Teenager's Body Found

Two people have been arrested after the discovery of a teenager's body at a flat prompted a murder investigation.

The body of the 19-year-old was found at Mallard Grange in Sea Road, in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth, at midday on Tuesday.

Dorset Police say the circumstances of the man's death are being treated as suspicious, with the probe to be overseen by the force's Major Crime Investigation Team.

A 25-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman - both from Bournemouth - were arrested in Weymouth on suspicion of murder and are helping police with their enquiries.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Stewart Balmer, said: "We are still building a picture of exactly what happened earlier today.

"If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the Sea Road area of Boscombe or has any other information that could be useful, I would urge them to please get in touch."

He said the man's next of kin have been informed and are being kept updated by specially-trained officers.

A cordon has been put in place at the home and was expected to remain in place for some time while crime scene investigators examined the scene and officers carried out house-to-house enquiries.

Witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 26:152 or Operation Fraction.
