Murder Probe As Three Bodies Found In House

A murder investigation has been launched after a man, woman and girl were found dead at a house in Oxfordshire, police say.

The bodies were discovered in the property in Vicarage Road, Didcot, after officers were called by a member of the public on Saturday night.

The identity of the victims and the cause of their deaths have yet to be established.

No arrests have been made.

Investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Simon Steel, of the Thames Valley Police major crime unit, said: "A man, a woman and a girl were pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance staff. Their deaths are being treated as suspicious.

"This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the loved-ones of the deceased."

He added: "A scene watch is in place in Vicarage Road, which is currently closed with access to residents only.

"I understand this incident will have an impact on the community and residents will be concerned. As you can understand, we are in the early stages of this investigation, but we will work hard to make sure the community is kept updated when we can.

"We would urge anyone with any information about the incident to contact us immediately via 101 quoting reference number 1370 (23/5). Did you see or hear anything suspicious in Vicarage Road? If you did then we want to hear from you."
