Muse have apparently been busy recording new music in London this week.
A fan account on Instagram has claimed that Matt Bellamy and Dom Howard told them that they were recording "new material" at Air Studios, where they worked on albums like Absolution and Drones.
Another account has shared the snaps and added that they have recorded three new songs, one "quite heavy" and the others not so much, as well as stuff for their upcoming US tour with 30 Seconds to Mars.
Digital Spy reached out to Muse's representatives, who declined to comment.
Muse have definitely been working on a follow-up to their seventh album, 2015's Drones, with the band sharing recording studio photos and videos on Instagram, including Matt "attempting to write a song on an acoustic guitar".
But best of all was Matt posting a video of his son Bing in a drumming duel with Dom.
They last played the festivals in 2011 with My Chemical Romance (RIP), The Strokes and Pulp, following on from their 2006 debut with Franz Ferdinand and Pearl Jam.
