Music icon Mick Fleetwood has 'adopted' Harry Styles

Harry Styles may only be 23 years old but the star already has established himself as one of the coolest and most reputable singers in the music industry today.

Harry has had the seal of approval both personally and professionally from a series of music icons, including Mick Jagger, Stevie Nicks, and Gene Simmons, which it’s why its unsurprising to hear that Harry has yet another legend singing his praises.

Just days after joining Harry on stage at his concert in The Troubadour, Los Angeles, Stevie Nicks has revealed that her Fleetwood Mac bandmate, Mick Fleetwood, has unofficially ‘adopted’ Harry as his son.

Speaking to Event magazine, Stevie explained: “When we did the last Fleetwood Mac show, on my birthday [at London’s O2 in May 2015], it was the nicest birthday I’d had in 10 years.

“Harry Styles brought back a cake. Mick [Fleetwood] has kind of adopted him.

“There are just women in Mick’s family and Harry is that tall, lanky musical son he always wanted, so they keep in touch.”

Harry has always been a huge Fleetwood Mac fan and famously brought a carrot cake to their London show two years ago, even piping Stevie’s name onto the cake as a gift to his idol.

Speaking to Rolling Stone Magazine about the encounter, Harry simply said: “Piped her name onto it. She loved it. Glad she liked carrot cake.”

Therefore it’s no surprise that Harry broke down in tears when Stevie joined him on stage earlier this month, with the star even stepping off stage and joining his fans in the audience to watch Stevie perform with pure admiration.

The duo ended up performing three songs together, including a flawless duet of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Landslide’.
